Matthew Moffatt is currently Junior Sous Chef at by Jorg Restaurant. Although still young his journey and achievements to date are impressive.
Matthew entered the industry at 15 years of age working as a kitchen hand at the local pub.
At 18 year Matthew started an apprenticeship, at 19 he was searching for bigger and better things which landed him right in the middle of the city in Melbourne. Over 4 years in the city Matthew worked his way up through the ranks from a 2nd year apprentice to a
commis chef, chef de partie, junior sous chef then eventually Sous chef.
In 2013 Matthew entered a competition called the Nestle Golden Chefs Hat in which he made the National finals and representing Victoria.
Also in 2013 Matthew claimed the Fonterra Foodies Adventure Scholarship. Which took him to New Zealand, Where he worked at two 3 hat restaurants and travelled the country seeking knowledge and skill.
In 2014 Matthew moved to Gippsland in Victoria where he is currently working at by Jorg Restaurant as a Junior Sous Chef.
