Review Summary
The Ozbistro Trial Team’s overall view on the taste was that Toscana Olive Oil didn’t have the bitterness of many of the other oils on the market. Our chefs commented on it having good balance, with a mild peppery finish. In particular the lemon EVOO was voted by all our chefs as the pick of the bunch.
EEVO + Lemon EEVO could be used for low temperature cooking and definitely as finishing oils. They would work well with good aged balsamic vinegar or with any meal involving lemon or some fresh herbs.
“Toscana is a high quality, organic cold pressed olive oil that is second to none. It’s clean and pure taste is unique and truly displays what fine olive oil should taste like. Whether drizzled over bread or added to your favourite dish, this oil will enhance and compliment any meal.” – Ignaciao Ronaldo – Treasury Casino.

“Very nice floral and grassy bouquet. Little bit of a let down in taste, compared to the aroma. Fairly neutral with a mild peppery finish Lemon Oil. I was very impressed with the lemon EVOO. Clean, very good lemon flavour balance and no bitterness”- Markus Perkert, The Lakes Golf Club
“I have tasted very few Australian olive oils that I have enjoyed. They often feel heavy and bitter, and usually need to be diluted with other oils as the bitterness is too overwhelming. This oil has a clean taste, the bitterness is certainly not there. Toscana EVOO would taste great with an aged balsamic vinegar or with any meal involving lemon or some fresh herbs.”- Ignacio Rodino, LAB Restaurant, Treasury Casino
